Role
I designed the entire mechanical structure and led the project end-to-end, overseeing component manufacturing and assembly, electronic system selection and integration, and the implementation of the ArduPilot flight-control software.
Designed and manufactured a functional prototype quadcopter that sprays water and chemicals to clean solar panels.
- Mechanical Design: Used SolidWorks for CAD modeling and Ansys for FEA.
- Software: Implemented ArduPilot for flight control. Used Mission Planner as ground control station GUI.
- Electronics Integration: Coordinated the selection and integration of essential components, including the flight controller, motors, ESCs, power distribution board (PDB), battery, GNSS, and propellers, to optimize system performance.
